Modern Duplex Mediterranean

This Modern Mediterranean duplex facade brings together sculptural curves and considered symmetry, creating a striking, resort-like presence on the street. Designed as a mirrored pair, the composition celebrates balance and rhythm while still feeling distinctly individual, resulting in a facade that reads as one elegant, cohesive statement.

At the centre, a dramatic stone-clad column rises boldly between both residences, anchoring the composition and drawing the eye upward. This textured stone feature introduces a raw, organic quality to the facade, grounding the soft curves and crisp render that surround it. Full-height glazing flanks this central column, offering glimpses into the home beyond and reinforcing the sense of light and openness at the heart of the design.

On either side, sweeping curved forms wrap around oversized arched windows, softening the facade’s overall silhouette and lending a distinctly Mediterranean sense of romance. Vertical timber screening adds warmth and texture between these curved masses, introducing privacy to the upper level while enriching the material palette with natural tones.

Cascading greenery spills from the upper balconies, softening the strong architectural lines and reinforcing a relaxed, resort-inspired atmosphere. Below, dark timber entry doors and matching garage doors ground each residence, their rich tones providing a warm contrast against the pale, textured render.
